![]() Selection of wood A willingness to make small quantities allows the company to pursue ambitious designs and an inclination to embrace manchinery for the first cut of raw wood, enables it to invest in more handwork at the end of the process. ![]() |
Quality Assurance Each piece of furniture is meticulously handcrafted to bring you quality that is timeless from a diverse range of cabinets, dinning sets, to a sumptuous selection of seats and sofas. We assure the highest level of craftsmanship. ![]() Manufacturing Process Dried and treated wood is then hand planed to add a sense of depth or inflection to the surface. Our joinery tradition of the old world to cut to fit and refit using mortise and tenon, double dowel or English dovetail joints is the language of quality spoken softly. The result is a tightly fit, truly rugged furniture piece enduring for enerations, less as a matter of glue or hardware than the tested ingenuity of the maker. On every carved piece the carvers work with the same crisp cut and often the same countless gauges of varying size and aweep passed from one generation to the next, the experiance is very much one of an old worldbench, a room bright with the light of the day and ultimately a skilled hand. |
![]() Finishing In the end a superb hand finish is often the difference between art & craft. Wood finishes are designed to complement the characteristics of the wood as well as other case goods. Many finishes are available which incorporate techniques such as hand rubbing distressing and colour padding to enhance the natural beauty of each piece. On special request actual gold leaf / silver gliding is done on the furniture pieces. |

Upholstery Fine upholstery is ultimately measured by its appeal to the eye, the quality of its material the level of craftsmenship and no less surely the matter of comfort. The hardwood frame is carefully machined to control the contours of the upholstery fabric with double dowelled joints and corner blocks to maintain rigidity and prevent twisting and wobbling even after years of use. Flow matching of fabrics is done so that patterns appear to flow uniterrupted throughout the piece, this is particularly difficult to achieve but is a distinct signature of quality upholstery. |
